FBG’s safety mission underscores everything we do. Partnering with experts from our insurance carrier, FBG has dedicated a company-wide Safety Program to ensure that our work environment is safe for our customers, our employees and the general public. As an ISO 9001 registered company, FBG has an additional set of eyes looking at safety – Internal and registration auditors – to adhere to strict ISO regulations monitoring workplace safety. ISO 9001 requires registered companies to provide a suitable and effective work place—including safety.

FBG’s experience in safety planning has allowed the company to take a leadership role in developing infection-control and pandemic measures. From detailed procedural training to the latest eco-friendly chemical advances, FBG has taken the lead in proactive risk-management strategies, creating safer working environments for everyone.

Employee Awareness
Safety is included in new employee training, in supervisors’ meetings and in the company newsletter. Managers stress safety when visiting cleaning crews in the evening.

Job Design
Managers address safety issues when designing new cleaning programs. The safety assessment phase includes looking out for hazards in an account such as potential slip and fall risks, ensuring that the chemicals used are the safest on the market and considering ergonomic issues when ordering cleaning equipment.

Program Review
Each branch office has an active safety committee, exploring ways to make our work even safer.

Accident Investigation
When accidents or incidents do occur, the local safety committee conducts a thorough investigation, looking for the direct, indirect and basic causes behind the issue. When these causes have been identified, corrective action is taken to ensure that accident does not reoccur.
