Tabitha Poldervaart Named FBG’s 2025 Cedar Rapids District Employee of the Year

FBG Facility Services is proud to recognize Tabitha Poldervaart as the 2025 Employee of the Year for the Cedar Rapids District. Tabitha has been with FBG for two and a half years and consistently goes above and beyond in her role at UnityPoint in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Tabitha’s team first mindset and commitment to learning new skills, including hard surface and carpet care, reflect her dedication to both personal growth and team success. She has shown a strong desire to take on added responsibility and has expressed interest in growing within the company.
She takes pride in her work and approaches her job with care and accountability, treating each space as if it were her own. Tabitha is known for her problem-solving abilities and her willingness to help others succeed. She finds efficient ways to complete tasks and has taken the initiative to help train coworkers and support her supervisor when needed. If she sees a teammate struggling with equipment or procedures, she steps in to offer guidance and encouragement.
Tabitha responds quickly when urgent matters arise and has developed a strong working relationship with UnityPoint’s security team, helping ensure issues are addressed promptly and appropriately.
One of her most outstanding traits is her ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations. She brings a steady and encouraging presence to the workplace and serves as a strong example for others. Her future with FBG is bright.
In challenging work environments, where staffing and safety concerns can make janitorial work more difficult, Tabitha plays a key role in making daily operations possible. Her care for her job and her coworkers helps create stability and success for the team.
Tabitha has three children aged seven, four and three. She enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends.
