Shining Results at Camaco: How We Transformed Their Floors

At FBG, we know that clean, well-maintained floors don’t just look better, they also extend the life of your facility. Our recent floor project at Camaco in Columbus, Nebraska is a perfect example of how the right equipment, techniques and best practices make all the difference.

Camaco uses Tennant M30 and T600 floor scrubbers to keep their large production space clean. The M30 is built for wide spaces, offering a broader scrub path, higher cleaning capacity and more pressure for aggressive cleaning. The T600 is a smaller, more traditional walk behind-scrubber. Together, these machines ensure their floors get consistent, reliable care.

Because Camaco’s floors were heavily soiled, our team began with a double scrub process:

First Pass: The scrubber applied cleaning solution and used its brushes to agitate dirt and grime while keeping the vacuum off. This allowed the solution to soak into the floor and loosen tough buildup.

Second Pass: With the vacuum on and squeegee lowered, the scrubber picked up the solution along with all the loosened debris leaving the floors both clean and relatively dry.

This method is especially effective for floors with deep dirt or staining and, as the before-and-after photos show, it made an immediate impact at Camaco. After the double scrub, the facility transitioned to a daily maintenance cleaning routine, which will keep floors in top condition with single-pass scrubbing.

Of course, great results don’t just come from machines, they come from following best practices:

• Remove mats and equipment before scrubbing to prevent machine damage and ensure thorough cleaning.
• Pre-sweep the floors to clear away dust, dirt and debris that could cause muddy buildup or harm the finish.
• Scrape up sticky substances like gum or food before scrubbing, since they can smear and leave streaks.
• Clear obstacles from the path to clean more efficiently and cover the entire area.
• Always display wet floor signs to keep employees and visitors safe while floors dry.
