As we mark 17 years of being 100% employee-owned, we want to take a moment to celebrate the heart and soul of our organization – our dedicated employee owners!
October at FBG is all about celebrating our current and new employee owners! As the only employee-owned company in our industry, we believe that empowerment leads to exceptional service and unwavering commitment to our customers, as well as greater job satisfaction for all of us. Our Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), is the foundation of our shared success. It’s not just a retirement plan; it’s a pathway to financial security.
Take a look at how we celebrated Employee Ownership Month in each of our Districts!
Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids team members were surprised with FBG branded bags filled with an assortment of goodies, including snacks, koozies, hand sanitizer, mugs and pens. Accompanying these gifts were informative materials about ESOP and the journey towards becoming an employee owner.
Colorado
The Colorado team hosted an exciting Halloween costume contest featuring adorable and spooky outfits. It was a delightful experience witnessing our employees’ families enthusiastically join in the festive celebration!
Des Moines
Our Des Moines team fully embraced the Halloween spirit by organizing an exciting Trunk or Treat event! Angela Jolly, our HR Manager, and her team planned a great event to ensure everyone had a fantastic time.
To sweeten the deal, they thoughtfully prepared goodie bags for our Cleaning Specialists to kickstart their workday. These bags were not only filled with delicious snacks but also included ESOP Roadmaps, providing a clear guide on how they can embark on the journey to becoming employee owners.
Minnesota
The dedicated team in Minnesota didn’t miss out on the festive activities either! Megan Engwer, our HR Manager, and Mariah Purcell, one of our Supervisors, were all smiles throughout Employee Ownership Month. They created delightful goodie bags to mark the occasion and even organized a pumpkin carving contest with the management team. Employees had a blast voting for their favorite pumpkin, and the top three management team members who received the most votes had the privilege of drawing an employee’s name to award them with a well-deserved prize!
Omaha
In Omaha, our HR Manager, Mandie Erdei, treated all our hardworking employees to a delicious lunch. During the lunch, everyone was invited to cast their votes for their favorite pumpkin carving. The Peralta family emerged as the well-deserved winners! Congratulations to them!
Quad Cities
Our Quad Cities team wholeheartedly embraced the Halloween spirit! They went the extra mile by transforming our FBG van to participate in Davenport, Iowa’s annual Halloween parade. They had a great time distributing candy and proudly showcasing FBG all afternoon. Despite the spooky appearance of the van, our team is anything but scary!
They also organized a pumpkin carving contest with a multitude of creative entries. Congratulations to Jen Hughes for securing the top spot in the contest!
An exceptionally heartwarming gesture for the team this month was the creation of a special sign dedicated to our FBG custodians at Louisa-Muscatine schools. Our custodians play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in schools every day. We are deeply honored to be a part of the mission to ensure children have a clean and healthy environment to thrive in.
We sincerely value the dedication and effort put forth by each of our teams in making this special month a success. Here’s to another year of team work, partnerships and fun!
