This last quarter, thanks to your donations, we were able to send $150 each to two charities, Take Flight Farms and Youth Emergency Services (located across the street from FBG headquarters in Omaha). (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy)
Take Flight’s mission is to develop capable and resilient individuals by incorporating horses into therapeutic and learning programs. Simply stated, they provide clients with access to an array of personal resources to use to cope with life’s challenges. Horses have a way of reaching people that is unparalleled to anything else known to mankind. For thousands of years, humans have been mystified by these amazing creatures. For this and many other reasons, horses provide a connection that can truly make a positive difference in mental health.
Youth Emergency Services – YES
YES has served the needs of homeless and at-risk youth in the Omaha and Council Bluffs, IA, area, by providing critically-needed resources which empower them to become self-sufficient. YES operates a Street Outreach Program, an Emergency Shelter, a Maternity Home and a Transitional Living Program.
